The $10.000.000 Course Creation Blueprint.

BEEP, BEEEP, BEEEEEEP.

Every time the alarm goes off, it’s louder. You smash the snooze button, and you turn around.

Before you dose off again, the last thought is why you’re doing what you hate.

BEEEP. BEEEEEEEP

“Yeah, Yeah, I’m out ok,” you say to yourself.

You get up, hit the shower, and before you know it, you’re in traffic on your way to hell.

The day goes by, and you’re back on the couch staring at the tv.

Until it’s time for bed…

This grim scene is, unfortunately, a reality for 95,9% Of the people.

I know how this feels. For years my life was like that.

It all changed when I did 4 things:

  1. I hired a mentor.
  2. I learned to write and persuade.
  3. I learned to sell.
  4. I created a course.

In today’s Newsletter, I will discuss point 4, creating a course.

The $10.000.000 Course Creation blueprint.

It’s overwhelming to build a course. You believe that it’s almost impossible.

Let me tell you this your mind is lying.

Before we dive into the course creation details, I like to do this little exercise with you.

Let’s put the course business model in a little perspective.

$100K would make a huge difference in most people’s lives. So let’s take that number as a starting point and break it down.

To make $100,000, you only need to sell the following:

* 800 units of a $125 product
* 50 units of a $2,000 product
* 5 units of a $20,000 product
* 1 unit of a $100,000 product

Now pick your desired number and run the same calculation.

You’ll notice you don’t need to sell a lot to become free. Now, let’s look at the steps to create your course.

It all starts with a solution to a common problem

Let’s say you’re a coach, and you teach people to become more productive. You have a process to solve productivity issues.

Now, You have a unique opportunity to package your solution in a course.

I call that concept monetising your mind.

But first, verify that your digital product is what people want to buy.

Let’s ask your audience

All you need to do is ask.

To sell your course, you need people to buy it. Many people make the mistake of creating a course they think people need.

In the $10M Course Creation Blueprint, we do this :

  1. Find a hot market.
  2. Ask what they want
  3. Give it to them

The best markets to sell courses are:

* Health
* Wealth
* Relationships

These 3 markets are good for billions of dollars in course sales.
Your future digital product falls into these 3 categories.

Now let’s take some action. This is what you to do next:

Send out a tweet saying:

“I’m giving away 20 FREE 15-min consultations to the first 20 comments.

I will help you with X. ( X is the common problem in your market)

And no, I won’t be selling you anything.”

I promise you many people will respond. These calls aim to understand your audience’s problems in extreme detail.

You want to learn what words they use. How do they talk about their problems? And you like to know if there is interest in buying your future course.

The interview process.

On the call, give away as much value as possible. Educate them on the pain points and problems.

It’s important to share only WHAT they can do to solve their issues. The HOW they ‘ll learn in your paid course.

Ask them these questions:

  1. What’s the biggest issue of your problem?
  2. Have you ever bought a course or hired a mentor to solve your problem?
  3. Are you willing to invest X amount of money in a course?
  4. How do you prefer to consume new content?

All their answers will lay the foundation for your course modules.

The beauty of the $10M Course Blueprint is that your audience will tell you exactly what to create.

Pay very good attention to the words they use to describe their fears and doubts.

The good old Ibiza days

In my business in Ibiza, we sold personal training to busy women.

We did everything in our power to attract clients. One day we ran an ad like this:

Are you ashamed of wearing your bikini? Join The Bikini Boot Camp today and turn heads on the beach when you walk by.

Are you ready for your six-pack?

Join today for only $399

Results: 0 clients.

Besides that, the copy could have been better. We also used the wrong words.

The tail of the foul mouthed mentor

My mentor asked where I found the word six pack.

“Uh, we saw somebody else doing it”, I replied.

“Dumb fuck, Did you bother to understand your audience?”

‘If you did, you would know that woman always talks about a flat tummy instead of a six-pack.”

My mentor was always harsh in his choice of words. That’s why I liked him so much. No fluff, and he got shit done. Works for me.

I learned an expensive lesson that day. Don’t be the dumb fuck. Use the right words in marketing and in your course content for success.

Funnel Hacking

You know what your market wants. It’s time to get some inspiration from the competition.

Funnel hacking is a concept I learned from Russell Brunson’s book Dot.com secrets.

This book is my bible when it comes to sales and marketing.

Funnel hacking is looking at other digital products and drawing inspiration from them.

READ CAREFULLY: I don’t say STEAL.

Why funnel hacking?

* Don’t reinvent the wheel. Look at what others do and create a similar course.
* You’ll learn about course content, sales and marketing in your SPECIFIC niche.
* These entrepreneurs have done a lot of testing for you.

All you need to do is improve and sprinkle your personality on your course.

This is the process:

* Buy a competitor’s course.
* Study the course materials.

* Study the marketing material.
* See where you can make improvements.

Suggestions for improvements:

* Create short video lessons (more on that later)
* Add Audio files only for the commuters.
* Create pre-written templates ( people love convenience.)
* Create a transcript of all your material.
* Create a notion template for a workbook.

Now let’s hack some funnels.

3 ways of learning

People learn in 3 ways:

  1. Reading. The readers love to consume the content at their tempo.
  2. Listening. Very popular among people who commute. When travelling, they use the time to learn new skills.
  3. Watching. Youtube Learning is very popular. I learned most of the skills by watching Youtube.

Ensure you deliver your course in all 3 formats and will stand out. Before you rush to record, read this next part first.

The 15 min rule

Lynda.com was the OG's of course creation back in the day. Today they’re now known as Linkedin Learning.

Their data showed that people’s attention span is less than 15 min. When you record your lessons, keep them under 15 minutes.

Your clients will praise you for it.

Is the red light flashing?

Creating great videos is an art form. But let me stop you right there.

You’re not making the next Avatar 2 movie. You are still in the business of solving people’s problems for money. Your aim is not to win an Oscar.

“Let’s rent a catamaran and shoot a video on location in Ibiza”, my business partner shouted.

“Yeah, let’s fucking do it”, I replied.

Back then, we had money to spend. Our business did well, and we did many stupid things.

One was a full course production with cars, drones, villas and boats. The result was a $17,890 production that looked stunning.

But did we sell more?

No.

Did our clients care?

No.

Would it work if I used my I phone, shot it against a white background in my house and edited it on iMovie?

Hell yeah!

It’s all about the content and your personality. The rest is fluff.

Keep it simple.

Shoot on your iPhone. Hire a Fiverr guy for the edit, and share it with the world. Most important is that you launch fast.

The power of feedback loops

You will never make a great course from the start. Yours will suck. And that’s ok.

When you suck at something, fine, but do something to improve over time. The ones that improve are the ones that will have financial freedom.

Ask your clients for feedback. You might hear things that you don’t like.

Kill your darlings and deliver EXACTLY what your client wants.

The feedback loop improves your course and your service.

That will result in more sales. That equals more time for you, which is what we call freedom.

At the same time, you’ll talk to super happy clients. That is your chance to ask for testimonials: the more social proof, the more sales.

Use feedback loops in your course business.
